We’ll place sterile gauze over the extraction site. Bite down gently for about an hour or until the bleeding slows, then replace it with fresh gauze if needed.
Avoid Smoking and Straws
Do not smoke or use a straw, as the suction can dislodge the healing blood clot and delay recovery.
Stick to Soft Foods
For the next few days, choose soft, gentle foods like yogurt, pudding, cooled soups, and broth to avoid irritating the extraction site.
Be Gentle With Brushing
Continue brushing your teeth as usual, but take care to avoid the area where the tooth was removed.
